New Wechat Translation Feature Oct 2024
How to Turn On and Use New Wechat Translation features.
As of Oct 2024, Wechat upgraded the translation feature to include translation for mini-apps. This makes it much easier to use the mini apps for food delivery or ordering at fast food chains and restaurants or even shopping online!
To turn on the feature and set your language:
- Click on “Me”
- Click on Settings
- Click on General
- Click on Translate
- Choose your language.
To use in a mini-program:
- Open the Mini app in Wechat
- Click on the customization button
- Select Translate from the options.
